ASOSAL 30th Anniversary

Website slide

ASOSAL, thirty years of history of struggle for the immigrant community. We are proud of all the successes achieved as well as the lapses; they have made us strong and through them obtain experiences.

In these past three decades, hundreds of Hispanic families have been taken through long processes to obtain citizenship through permanent information campaigns such as community forums, legal clinics with expertized lawyers in Immigration Law, and low-cost legal counseling services. We have encouraged Legal Permanent Residents to become U.S. citizens; we prepare them for the Citizenship exam and interview with USCIS. Through citizenship, we will realize that we have privileges but also obligations, one of which is the vote that will lead to the election of our Representatives, Senators, and our next President of the United States.

As a non-profit organization, we have participated in countless delegations that visit Washington D.C. to obtain the support of Congressmen to convince them to legislate laws that favor the immigrant community as well as for the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Action (DACA) communities. Strategically, this is where we unify efforts with national organizations such as Alianza Americas that advocates for different topics that can affect or benefit the Hispanic community that resides in this country.
