Dear Los Angeles community and friends of ASOSAL,
On June 8th, our offices were unfortunately subjected to theft and property damage, impacting items crucial for our operations. We urgently need to raise $8,000 to replace stolen materials, carry out necessary repairs to our facilities, and acquire new security equipment.
For over 30 years, ASOSAL has been a vital presence in the Los Angeles community. We provide legal services related to immigration laws and programs, organize community members benefiting from TPS, create educational opportunities for those seeking U.S. citizenship, and work to share Salvadoran culture with new generations in Los Angeles. We also foster solidarity and collaborative ties with cities in El Salvador, engage in advocacy, and much more.
Historically, our work has been 100% funded by donations from the community and those who use our services; we don’t have other sources of support. Therefore, we appeal to you, our friends of ASOSAL, to help us recover the stolen materials, repair our offices, and purchase security equipment. Your support will help prevent future acts of vandalism, which are not just against ASOSAL, but against the entire Los Angeles community that benefits from the services we provide.
